Ty Wilson, Award Winning African-American Artist
Through the years Ty’s artwork has dressed the sets of TV shows such as, Friends and Seinfeld, and countless movie productions. Advertising Clients includes Worldwide Avon, Revlon, and L’Oreal.
Serving on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, the Maryland College of Art and Design, the Ty Wilson Scholarship is given annually to a first-year minority art student. A well known speaker on the subject of “Art and the Business of Art” he’s lectured at such prestigious schools as Parson’s School of Design, FIT, and Syracuse University.
Currently residing in Kansas City, he has established the first ever fashion illustration program at The Kansas City Art Institute based on the success of the course that he developed and taught at the School Visual Arts In New York City.
